Metais t\u00eam sido classificados como potenciais imunotoxinas associadas a efeitos de imunossupress\u00e3o e imunoestimula\u00e7\u00e3o e o estresse oxidativo tem sido considerado o mecanismo subjacente \u00e0 imunotoxicidade dos metais (Chen et al., 2008). Estudos epidemiol\u00f3gicos transversais e de coorte t\u00eam sugerido que metais no sangue do cord\u00e3o umbilical e de crian\u00e7as aumentam os n\u00ed\u00adveis de marcadores de estresse oxidativo e inflama\u00e7\u00e3o (Ni et al., 2014; Luna et al., 2010; Ashley-Martin et al., 2015). Entretanto, poucos estudos avaliaram a rela\u00e7\u00e3o da exposi\u00e7\u00e3o a metais, resposta imune-inflamat\u00f3ria e estresse oxidativo concomitantemente.
