ToxiLatin 2025: PIPA researchers participate in congress on Toxicology

Researchers from PIPA/UFRJ participated in the 4th edition of ToxiLatin, promoted by the Latin American Association of Environmental, Experimental and Nanomaterials Toxicology (ASTOXILATIN). Held between June 24 and 27 at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, in Porto Alegre, the event aimed to address the emerging challenges of Toxicology.

A Profa. Dra. Carmen Ildes Rodrigues Fróes Asmus, coordenadora-geral do PIPA, participou como palestrante da conferência “Maternal and child health and exposure to environmental pollutants“, na qual falou das pesquisas realizadas no âmbito do projeto. Também participou do lançamento do dossiê sobre Saúde Reprodutiva e do almanaque sobre o mesmo tema cuja produção contou com a colaboração de alunas de Iniciação Cientifica do PIPA.

Organized by the Latin American Association of Environmental, Experimental and Nanomaterials Toxicology (Astoxlatin), the event brought together specialists from various countries in Latin America to discuss advances in toxicology in clinical, occupational, and environmental contexts, with a focus on the exposome — a concept that integrates exposure to xenobiotics, environmental and genetic factors.
